Lunghinpass and Longhinsee
at 2644 m above sea level.
Start: Start after the Hotel Longhin, towards the hamlet of Pila and Lake Lunghin, the source of the Inn. From here you hike on to the Lunghin Pass (2645 m above sea level) and reach the Septimer Pass after a gentle descent of 45 minutes.
Not far from Piz Lunghin in the north is a triple watershed. This is the source of the Julia river, which flows into the Rhine
and finally into the North Sea. The Inn flows through the Engadine into the Danube, which flows into the Black Sea.
The Maira flows through the Bergell to Lake Como and ends in the Mediterranean. A curiosity that is unique in Europe.
